Anja Teske, myndlistarkona frá Þýskalandi opnar sýninguna "Visual Language" í Deiglunni n.k. laugardag 20. ágúst kl. 14:00.
Hún er gestalistamaður mánaðarins í vinnustofu Gilfélagsins.
Sýningin verður opin laugardag og sunnudag frá 14:00-17:00

In Akureyri I have worked on my themes perspective, landscape and abstraction, and the transformations of pictures. Usually, I work on different long time projects at the same time and let them grow. In this exhibition photographs combined with texts and sketches are on display.

As I a photographer I often ask myself:

What are impacts of space and perspective for photography, how do they become visual? How is the perception of space changed by texts accompanying the photos?

How is the term „perspective“ extended, e.g. in thoughts, to create a transition from the concrete space into the intellectual, the philosophical, the political space, e.g. also with gestures?

What are the differences between the optical perspectives and the perspectives of thoughts and imagination?

What is the motivation for using space, especially: what is the size of that space resp. how big does it seem to be for us?

Bergþór Morthens opnar myndlistasýninguna UMMERKI í Mjólkurbúðinni í Listagilinu á Akureyri, 20. ágúst kl. 14.

Bergþór Morthens um sýninguna:
„Verkin eru unnin á tvenns konar hátt þar sem tveir stílar takast á þar sem hið gróteska leggst á fínlegra og hefðbundnara undirverk og myndar þar spennu og nýja frásögn. Með eyðileggingunni skapast vísun til Chromophobiu sem er hræðslan við liti og stendur hér fyrir óttan við það að standa fyrir utan hefðbundin valdakerfi“.
 
Bergþór Morthens (f. 1979) útskrifaðist frá myndlistardeild Myndlistarskólans á Akureyri árið 2004 og lauk síðar mastersnámi í myndlist við Valand háskólann í Gautaborg í Svíþjóð árið 2015. Bergþór hefur haldið einkasýningar á Íslandi og í Svíþjóð og tekið þátt í samsýningum á Íslandi, Svíþjóð, Danmörku og Grikklandi.

Sýning Bergþórs stendur fram yfir Akureyrarvöku eða til 28.ágúst.
