Gymnophobia
Love Water
is the title of a short story written by Icelandic writer and artist Hekla Björt Helgadóttir and is part of a book being published in late 2015 by Hekla and Freyja. In coming months Freyja will go through Hekla’s chapters and poems, using them as inspiration and material. The two will live together in an exhibition space at Akureyri’s central art street, creating and living through the book with performances, happenings, sound & video, installations, sculptures and paintings. (Gymnophobia is a fear (phobia) of nudity). This short story is the second text Freyja works with in their collaboration, the first one was a poem named Kattastófískt Kynlíf, e. Catastrophic Sex and ended up as a painting, installation and a performance by the two.
